Bontoc is the capital of Mountain Province and from there I got to do some things for the first time.

1.) Sit on the jeepney top load for approximately 45 minutes from Sagada

2.) Fire a gun

3.) Overnight stay at the top of the mountain in an abandoned white house

4.) Experience the warmth of the fireplace overnight

5. See original Eduardo Masferre’s photographs inside the Bontoc Museum.
His photo is beyond amazing. Felt like I made it into the origin of the Philippine culture and traditions just by staring at his photographs. As much as I’d like to take pictures inside the museum, they did not allow. They believe that we might disturb the spirit in each display.

Walking inside a museum’s corridor will always be part of my travel. It is more than just reading history books and watching TV docus.
