Sunday Pleasure No 10  Saturday, September 20, 2014

I like taking a walk, the next morning after a storm. I like watching people in particular, how they easily strive to recover and continue their daily living. Seeing them makes my life less challenging.

This morning I was awakened at 5am. I went walking around the neighborhood, the farthest my feet can get while enjoying my paper cup of taho. Everything seems so normal. The sunlight made everything look vibrant. I felt the morning breeze on my face. On my way home, I stopped at this fruit stall and get myself a sliced of watermelon. I went home passed 6am and decided to continue enjoy the morning. I spent the entire morning just reading The Swiss Family Robinson and from time to time observing the outdoors from the terrace of my apartment while fruits kept me company.

I've read somewhere that Sunday gets its name from ancient beliefs that in the morning when the sun came up, the world started anew, thus a new week starts on Sunday. I'm happy that I spent my Sunday that way. New day indeed.

"Keep the faith and optimism. No matter how bleak things look, there will always be a rainbow of peace on the other side of the storm."
